Dr. Laura was raised in Hilliard, Ohio. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Miami University in 2022 before continuing her education at The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she graduated in May 2026.
Following graduation, Dr. Laura married her husband, Haden Hiser, and settled in Canal Winchester. She is

Following graduation, Dr. Laura married her husband, Haden Hiser, and settled in Canal Winchester. She is excited to begin her optometry career at Canal Eye Care and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with her patients while providing compassionate, personalized
eye care for all ages.
Outside of the office, Laura enjoys running, getting lost in the latest thriller novels, and cheering on her favorite football teams (Go Bucks!!). She is excited to put down roots in Canal Winchester and looks forward to caring for patients and families throughout the community.

Dr. Murray left to attend the University of Charleston to play baseball and study Sports Medicine, graduating cum laude in 1990. Upon graduating from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1994 he began private practice in Worthington and New Albany along with part time work as a Clinical Instructor in the Primary Care, Contact Lens and Disease Clinics at OSU. In 2001 Dr. Murray began practicing with Dr. Richard McClurg in Canal Winchester and opened a practice in Hilliard, OH. Since selling the Hilliard practice, Dr. Murray has focused all his time devoting his clinical expertise and patient-centered approach to those he sees from all over central Ohio at Canal Eye Care. With over 3 decades of passion for improving the quality of his patient’s lives through better vision and eye health he has earned a trusted reputation in the eye care industry.
Outside of the office Bill can be found spending his free time with his wife Debby, on the golf course, fishing, hunting, or watching sports with close friends and family, all of which reflect his appreciation for relaxation and the outdoors.

Our History
Dr. Richard McClurg established his optometry practice in 1973 with the goal of providing exceptional eye care to the community. In 2004, Dr. William Murray took over the practice, continuing to work alongside Dr. McClurg until his retirement in 2020.

More than 50 years later, Canal Eye Care remains dedicated to serving families in Canal Winchester and the surrounding areas with comprehensive eye exams and a commitment to your eye health needs.
